This lovely bookmark is actually more of a construction than a piece of crochet-tatting! I believe I counted 38 ends to tuck in. However, it takes longer to tell than to do, and goes very quickly.
The general plan is to make 3 rings, then make 3 squares out of them joining corners as you go, and then make the webbing in the 4 corners formed by those joins.
Notice and keep right sides of pieces in the same direction as you work.
Stitches:
Crochet stitchessl st - slip stitchsc - single crochetdc - double crochet
Cro-tat stitchesds - 2-part double hitch stitchp (picot) - 3/16" gap between dssmall p (small picot) - 1/8" gap between ds
Instructions:
make 3 - Ring = beginning with 2" tail of thread, do
ds, (small p, 2ds, p, 2ds) 3 times, small p, 2ds, p, ds, Close Ring, cut another 2" tail on this end, pull thread through loop and tie a small knot behind Ring with the beginning and ending tails, then tuck ends of the thread in opposite directions inside the Ring itself, snug the strings to firm up the shape of the Ring, clip ends off very close to the Ring, Ends hidden.

1st SquareJoin in any p,
Row 1 - ch 8. dc in same p (1st corner made),
[ch 2, dc in next small p, ch 2, dc in next p, ch 5, dc in same p (2nd corner made)] 3 times,
ch 2, dc in next small p, ch 2, dc in next p, ch 2, join in 3rd ch of beginning chain.
Row 2 - ch 5, (dc, ch 5, dc) in corner loop,
(ch 2, dc in next dc) 3 times, (dc, ch 5, dc) in corner loop,
Proceed around in this fashion, join in 3rd st of beginning ch, do not break off.
Edging Row - ch 1, do sc edging all around with sc in each dc and 2 sc in each space, making 3 sc in center ch of each corner.
Join in beginning sc. Break off and hide ends in sc-edging.
2nd Square
Work same as for 1st Square, then on Edging Row, join 2nd Square to 1st Square by catching center sc of one corner of 1st Square as you make center sc of one corner on of 2nd Square. This joins the 2 squares atogether t tips of corners only.

WebbingOrienting to the corner insets:
Counting the corner-joined sc stitches as "#0," rows of webbing will be joined to stitches #5, #9, and #13 along the sides of the Squares.
WebbingRow 1 -
with 2" tail of thread, join with sl st at st #5 on 1st square, between Square 1 (outer square) and Square 2 (middle square).

Tail -
String about 30 seed beads, tie a knot to secure beads but not so tight as to prevent the beads from draping nicely, tie to one end of bookmark, hide ends into the sc-edging of the square.
